Let's be honest, there are tons of myths and jokes floating around about office cleaners. Some may make us chuckle, but in most cases they don't acurately describe the majority of office cleaners. Well, at least not those that work for our company.
We've rounded up what we think are the most common myths about office cleaners for our own version of Myth Busters. Each day this week we'll share a myth then the truth about our cleaners.
Myth #1 Janitors lack education
Truth: We are proud to say that 100% of our cleaning staff hold at least a high school diploma or GED. Many of our employees have bachelors degrees or are currently pursuing higher education.
Why do we insist upon hiring office cleaners with high school diplomas? Our cleaners must be able to understand verbal and written directions, accurately perform mathematical calculations and have good verbal and written communication skills to be successful. Earning a high school diploma or GED lets us know they have some mastery of these basic skills.
